This collaborative project with artist run initiative The Wandering Room saw the creation of a temporary outdoor space as part of the 2012 Brisbane Festival.

Sharing a passion for enlivening underutilised public spaces and repurposing materials, the installation took place at the Brisbane Powerhouse’s Labyrinth site. The venue was entirely constructed from pallets and a shipping container. The building materials were returned at the conclusion of the festival, making this a near zero waste project.

A sculptural courtyard was defined by stacked elements, with perimeter seating giving visitors a place to linger and mingle, rest and reflect. A changing program of site-specific visual art included work by Carly Scoufos, Sophie Bottomley, Richard Stride, Dhana Merritt, David Creed and Angela Rossitto.
